In the U.S. and Canada, users must be at least 13 years old to create a REX account.
In other countries, the minimum age requirement varies based on local data protection regulations (usually 16 years old in most of Europe).
iOS: REX requires iOS 14.0 or later and is currently supported only on iPhones (not on iPads or iPad Mini).
Android: REX requires Android 6.0 or later.
REX is designed to help you exchange resources within your existing social circles. Granting contact access allows REX to connect you with people you already know who are also using the app.
To be automatically added to your REX community and start seeing posts, your contacts must:
Be saved in your phone’s contact list.
Already be a REX member.
Have launched or refreshed the REX app after you completed your verification and profile setup.
Ask them to open the REX app on their phone to auto-connect. You can also refresh your feed by swiping down on the main REX screen to ensure you see the most recent connections and posts.
If they are already REX members: Go to the ‘Community’ screen, select ‘Add Contact,’ and enter their phone number. They’ll receive an invitation, and once they accept, you’ll be connected.
If they’re not on REX yet: Share a REX post with them. This will include an invite and a link to download the app.
Your direct contacts (people on your REX community list).
Their direct contacts (friends of friends, or 2nd-degree connections).
This expanded visibility helps foster a stronger community by allowing a broader network to engage with your posts. You can always check how you're connected to someone by tapping the ‘Community Link’ icon.
Yes! When creating a post, you can choose who sees it:
Default: ‘My REX contacts + their contacts’ (your direct contacts + their direct contacts).
More private: Select ‘Chosen REX contacts’ to limit visibility to specific people or groups in your REX contact list.
Absolutely! You can set up community groups within your contact list. This allows you to share posts exclusively with members of that group. Only first-degree contacts within the group will see the post—second-degree contacts won’t have access.
For seamless exchanges, consider creating groups with people you interact with regularly (e.g., coworkers, classmates, neighbors, teammates).
To block someone:
Go to their profile.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top right corner.
Select ‘Block User.’
Confirm your action.
Once blocked, they won’t see your posts or send you messages, and vice versa. They won’t be notified, and blocking is mutual—both of you will be invisible to each other until unblocked.

Be Reliable – Arrange for pickup or delivery promptly after claiming an item.

No Selling or Trading – Items shared on REX are free. Reselling items obtained through REX is not allowed unless the original giver consents to donate them for charitable fundraisers.
Help with Friendly Delivery – If possible, assist in passing items along to make sharing easier for your community.
Keep Items Secure – Handle shared items with care and ensure they reach the intended recipient.
Stay Transparent – If an item is delayed or can’t be delivered, communicate with the giver and receiver.
Be Punctual – Respect each other’s time by showing up as agreed for pickups and deliveries.
Be Thoughtful – Only take what you need and avoid taking advantage of generosity.

Scroll down and select ‘Delete Account.’
Enter your REX phone number to confirm.
